Pre-K Library Storytime

Number us ready for some fun tomorrow at Gulf Beaches! My goodness, but we love Pete the Cat AND his four groovy buttons -- as well as the 4 fishies swimming in the sea, the five little piggies, 1 potato, 2 potato... a nice, tidy craft afterward!

Dear Parents, Ms. T recently received an exciting proposal from one of the Gulf Beaches' mightiest moms suggesting that I consider scheduling a storytime for 3 to 6 year olds. It is true that after watching my babies take their first steps, learn the lyrics of The Wheels on the Bus and read them so many of my favorite books, I am VERY sad to see them go off to preschool.  So, hmmm, how about a storytime at 4:30 on Thursday or Friday afternoon? So far, Friday seems a bit more popular. I'm leaning a bit more towards Friday now.  Could be a VERY good party. Signed, Ms. T

PLUS: We're making Oobleck in honor of Dr. Seuss's birthday. And I know how much you all just loooove oobleck. These unbelievably cute pooches will be waiting at Gulf Beaches Library at 4:00 pm on Friday, March 1 for you to read them a story. Maybe you remember Rico, dressed like Senior Snow Man there on the right. His new compadre is the lovely Chinese crested powderpuff Bella.  Technically, Bella really is a powderpuff. She had two options at birth; she could have been hairless, like  the famous Chinese crested dog,    Sam . He was the winner of the   World's Ugliest Dog Contest . Who you calli...

A big thank you to Paula Rosen & Co for the wonderful story hour they did on Friday. At least, I think it was wonderful! I wouldn't know because I was locked up in a big room in Oldsmar with 80 other librarians. My knees were locked by the end of the day, but my head is swimming now with great ideas.  Of course, my head is usually swimming....
